Celebrating Japanese Culture with the Theme of Ukiyo-e and Edo
We are thrilled to announce the return of KAWAII-CON, Cambodia’s premier cultural exchange event that showcases the charm of Japanese “KAWAII” culture. The second annual KAWAII-CON will be held in Phnom Penh this December, presenting an enriched program and featuring special guests to build stronger cultural and business connections between Japan and Cambodia.
In 2024, KAWAII-CON will spotlight “Ukiyo-e and Edo” as its theme, creating a unique experience where traditional and modern elements blend. Organized by JCI LAB CO., LTD with full support from the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia, the event will offer a broad range of activities, from Japanese and Cambodian performances to Avex artist live shows, cosplay events, sumo and tea ceremony workshops, kimono fittings, raffles, games, and more.

Highlights of KAWAII-CON 2024
With last year’s event attracting over 7,000 attendees and more than 100 cosplayers, KAWAII-CON 2024 promises even greater excitement. This year’s theme celebrates “KAWAII” as a symbol of positivity and forward-thinking, inviting you into a dynamic festival space where past and present intertwine.
The event opens with Japanese and Cambodian embassy officials in attendance, marking the beginning of a cultural and business bridge between Japan and Cambodia. Japanese companies seeking insights into the Cambodian market will also have opportunities for test marketing through this event.
